Description
This Molly Rack Card aims to dispel the many myths surrounding this dangerous drug. Molly is the crystal or powder form of MDMA, the chemical used in Ecstasy. It’s been called a “pure” form of Ecstasy because it’s supposedly not mixed with caffeine or other drugs. However, this term has led people to people that it is safer than Ecstasy, which is not the case.
Molly may come in pill or capsule form, as well as crystal or powder form. If taken in pill or capsule form, users will experience the “high” from the drug after about 45 minutes. Molly causes feelings of alertness and it also lowers inhibitions and affects the user’s sense of reality. In excess, the drug may lead to psychological effects, heart trouble, and organ failure.
Deaths that occur from using Molly are usually the result of overdose or suicide (due to the drug’s psychological effects). Frequently, users are not purchasing pure MDMA as sellers or manufacturers cut the drug with additional substances to make more money. Sellers or manufacturers may also sell other drugs as Molly, raising the risk of overdose and other terrible side effects.
In the short term, Molly users may experience insomnia, teeth grinding, hypothermia, or sweating. As use continues, the risk for brain damage and depression increases. Users also run the risk of death by dehydration, asphyxiation, and organ failure. Molly is not legal and those found in possession of it will face criminal consequences.
