Product Description

    Details

The United States is in the midst of an opioid epidemic. Drug overdose deaths due to a wide range of opioids are at an all-time high and there is a record number of prescription drug abusers turning to the streets for a cheaper high. These drugs are highly addictive, making it easy for this epidemic to spread to all walks of life. With opioid abuse becoming more prevalent, it's that much more important that people are educated on how devastating these drugs can be.

Whether you're talking to high school students or adults, the "Fentanyl" presentation display will be a valuable resource. It begins by explaining exactly what fentanyl is and it's role in the current opioid epidemic. Fentanyl is a man-made synthetic opioid that was made to help extreme pain from cancer, surgery or used as an anesthetic. It is one of the most powerful drugs on the market over 100 times more powerful than morphine and 50 times more powerful that heroin. The drug was not to be used outside of a medical setting. However, illicit overseas laboratories are producing fentanyl and over 15 analogues or variations of this much more potent drug and it is hitting the streets, and causing overdose and death across the country. Most users don't even realize they are taking Fentanyl. It is commonly found mixed with heroin or other drugs and made into counterfeit prescription pills.

The display details that overdose with Fentanyl is quick and deadly. Overdose can begin even before the drug is fully injected. Overdose victims will have difficulty breathing, clammy skin, loss of consciousness, seizures, pinpoint pupils, low blood pressure and slowed or no heart beat. Synthetic opioids like Fentanyl deaths have risen 540% in the past 3 years. Fentanyl is the number 1 cause of drug overdose deaths, the first drug to ever surpass heroin.

To compound the problem Fentanyl is cheaper, easier to hide from law enforcement and stronger. A much smaller dose of Fentanyl can have the same effects as a larger dose of other opioids. Which is why it's so deadly. There is also at least 15 known analogues or variations of the drug. Most were created to avoid drug bans and keep the drugs flowing freely to the streets. Others were made to create new highs. With these new drugs comes new dangerous side effects and more dangers.

Stay Away. What's in that Powder or Pill, Can Kill.
